There is huge growing demand for video content from brands, to more effectively reach and engage audiences across all communication channels. The traditional model is too slow and expensive so brands are looking for a new solution.

Genero is a global video production marketplace, helping brands scale to meet demand. We combine a global community of 350,000 creators with a leading-edge software platform, and have the leading solution globally for brands looking to become more creative, agile and authentic.

Our clients are primarily large brands, including Unilever, Diageo, HP, Trivago, IAG and IHG. We are also an official Facebook Marketing Partner and work closely with Google / YouTube, to provide a solution to their advertising clients looking for a smarter, faster, more affordable way to create video content.

Genero's head office is in Melbourne, Australia, with growing teams based in Sydney, London, Singapore, San Francisco and Los Angeles.

The role

  • Based in our Sydney office, you will work closely with our AU/NZ Managing Director and growing AU/NZ team, to drive business growth in the region.

  • Responsibility for helping to grow our AU/NZ client base with a focus on large brands, driving new business and building close and trusted relationships with their marketing teams.

  • This is not a ‘salesy’, 20-calls-a-day role; it is more consultative and focused on getting in front of the right decision makers in large brands and effectively positioning Genero’s solution to help them become more effective marketers.

  • Play an important role in growing and supporting the partnerships we are building with partners like Facebook and Google/YouTube, as well as identifying and establishing other partnerships.

  • Provide input into our technology platform and market leading solution, to continually improve our product offering based on your own experience and client/community feedback.

Successful candidate

  • You will need to have 7+ years experience in new business development and account management, ideally including experience within a creative agency environment.

  • You will have a proven track record in driving new business growth from a client base and extensive network of marketers within large corporates.

  • You have a positive can-do attitude and enjoy working autonomously. You will run your own strategy, but be held accountable for the results.

  • Passionate and excited about playing a key role in a growing business, and thrive in a small team and a dynamic, fast paced environment.

  • A deep understanding of digital and social media marketing and an appreciation for improvements that can come from new approaches and technology.

  • You will have a background and passion for creative or marketing.

  • A thorough knowledge of video production, including TV commercials. There will be times when you will need to advise clients, at least at a high level, on aspects of their creative briefs and approach to achieve the best outcomes from Genero’s creative community.

  • Attention to detail, great organisational skills and excellent written and verbal communication.

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, be self-motivated and show initiative.

  • Marketing, advertising, communications or similar degree highly regarded but not essential.
