WooWoos have now chosen the winning entry, which will become the official music video for their debut single, Fizzy Lettuce. There was a really impressive range of great videos entered with some fantastic interpretations of the song, but unfortunately there can be only one winner! Below are the winner and finalist videos with feedback on each of the selections…
The WINNER is:
AJRutter (UK): http://genero.tv/watch-video/32564/
Loved AJ Rutters interpretation of Fizzy Lettuce. His video was a tragic and sad story that combined evil, innocence, misplaced trust and desperation. He really understood the feeling and emotion of the song, which is probably why his video stood out so much. Congratulations!
The FINALISTS, who were also fantastic and just missed out, are:
Rolling Shooter (France): http://genero.tv/watch-video/32571/
This video felt like a short film. Enjoyed the build up of tension watching the repetition of this girl’s dismal everyday life and tasks. It felt as if she was getting more more sucked into this depressing way of life. The ending was a real surprise and it was hard to know whether to feel happy or sad for her.
Mint Slice (New Zealand): http://genero.tv/watch-video/32553/
Fantastic video. Beatifully shot, perfect pace, great acting and a really interesting interpretation of the song. Loved the surreal nature of the storyline. Well done!
andyp89 (Australia): http://genero.tv/watch-video/32566/
Another great video that could have easily been chosen as the winner. Loved the colour throughout and the cinematography is all class. Also loved the way so much is left up to the viewers’ interpretation.
Mhimhi (Italy): http://genero.tv/watch-video/32567/
This was another quality film that left you thinking enough to keep you interested the whole way through and also after watching it. Very well done.
There were so many great entries it was really hard to narrow it down to a group of finalists and one winner. Congratulations to everyone who entered and who made it such a difficult choice!
