Nespresso Talents 2021

Nespresso Talents will be back on Genero in 2021! We will be sharing more information very soon, so watch this space and create a free account on Genero to get all the latest updates.

Nespresso Talents

Nespresso Talents is a global celebration of creative filmmaking first launched in 2016, challenging creators around the world to bring new angles to an old format with stories told through vertical short films. Underpinned by Film Festivals sponsored by Nespresso globally, it celebrates and nurtures the next generation film talent, bringing their art to the discerning film lovers everywhere.

This year filmmakers were invited to create and submit a vertical film using this year’s theme for the opportunity to be flown to Cannes Film Festival and receive awards from a pool of €50,000.

2020 theme

Virtuous Circles

For the 5th edition of Nespresso Talents, we empowered creators to use their passion for film as a force for good, under our new theme, 'Virtuous Circles'.

We asked creators to tell us their stories of how one good deed has changed something for the better, how it became a catalyst for something bigger than the action itself.

Virtuous Circles are everywhere and can be sparked by anything. From a small gesture that was repaid in kind, to bigger actions that have benefited our world on a larger scale. We are open to any kind of story: Real life, fiction or anything in between. Films can feature friends, family, complete strangers or imaginary characters. What’s important is that it tells the story of a Virtuous Circle.

The brief

This year, Nespresso is inviting creators around the world to submit vertical 9:16 videos between 2-3 minutes long, around the theme 'Virtuous Circles'.

Films should be positive, forward thinking, innovative & heart-warming. All genres are welcome (e.g. comedy, drama, educational…) in the form of fiction, documentary, or animation.
