The Ball takes place in the largest slum on the continent of Africa. The community of Kibera sits outside the city limits of Nairobi, Kenya. Estimates put the population here at between 300,000 and 1 million. Despite the hardships and poverty that exists here, young children don't let life pass them by. Soccer (football) is huge in Kenya and most who live here can't afford a regulation ball. This film reflects the ingenuity and hard work that goes into taking advantage of the resources that are available.
