Island Records are giving you the chance to make the music video for Fizzy Lettuce, the debut single for their latest signing WooWoos. The winner will receive £1,500 and have their video serviced to media as the official music video. Upload your entries before Dec 22.

With the gleaming chrome of 21st century Pop, meeting the uneasy rhythms and multi-cultural make-up of 90s trip-hop, WooWoos release their debut single Fizzy Lettuce on 21st November.

Fizzy Lettuce, WooWoos tale of a friendship gone bad, is the 41st release on the famed Moshi Moshi Singles Club, a series that has delivered debut releases from Florence & The Machine, Friendly Fires, The Drums, Kate Nash, Lykki Li, CocknBullKid, Slow Club and Big Deal.

Throughout their darkly realised pop are the suggestions of an unlikely musical heritage; Nicky’s penchant of percussive Jazz, Jess’ Grandparent’s reggae collection, and Tasie’s liking for contemporary ‘noire’ protagonists Hurts, Bat For Lashes and Little Dragon.

Having started making music together at College, Nicky and Tasie met Jess at a festival. When Nicky dragged Jess on stage at a Lebanese bar in south London the trio began to take shape. With recording under way in New York, their debut album is due for release next year.
