The Role

  • Based in Melbourne or Sydney, and working from home until further notice.
  • A key role within the business, partnering with our teams to offer practical and commercial advice and solutions.
  • You will report to the CEO, and work closely with our teams, including senior business stakeholders, across the UK, Singapore, Australia, the US and Brazil.
  • You have 5+ years experience as an in-house or firm lawyer, and a strong commercial focus.
  • Experience in negotiating long term agreements for marketing services or marketing technology will be highly regarded, including global brands/enterprises, advertising agencies and media platform partners, across multiple regions.
  • Experience with contracting strategies, procurement processes, commercial legal and contracting issues, will also be highly regarded.
  • You will advise on our platform terms and insurance requirements, to ensure alignment between our client and creator agreements, as well as monitoring and advising on legal risks within the business and industry we operate in.
  • Additional legal responsibilities will include employment, privacy, IP, policies, and corporate governance.
  • You will also provide input into our technology platform from a legal workflow perspective, to improve the process and tools for our team, as well as clients and creators.

Successful Candidate

  • Australian law degree qualified and a current practising certificate.
  • A proven track record of working with enterprise clients, and preferably at an international level.
  • Experience within the following areas will be highly regarded: production rights and agreements, talent agreements, licensing and intellectual property.
  • Ability to balance legal and commercial thinking.
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Attention to detail and incredibly well organised.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, be self-motivated and show initiative.

If you have significant B2B content marketing experience targeting large Enterprise clients, an impressive portfolio demonstrating the production of a wide range of content, and a data-driven mindset - we’d love to hear from you.

Based in Sydney and reporting to our Melbourne-based CEO, you will lead our Sydney based sales and client service team to drive profitable growth across our business in Australia and New Zealand.
