A lesson in music video storytelling: ‘Waves’ by Bahamas

We’re in awe of the new music video from Canadian artist Afie Jurvanen, otherwise known as Bahamas.

Directed by Tyler Manson, the clip features “benevolent queen of the beach” Carol Schuldt, a youthful 82-year-old San Francisco native with a pretty clear passion for the ocean. The way that Manson has captured a real day in Carol’s life with vintage style footage makes for a beautiful pairing for the track ‘Waves’, and a storytelling experience usually reserved for documentaries.
