From the beautiful video series Between Frames comes this simple but elegant edit from the Spike Jonze masterpiece, ‘Her’. Created to prompt viewers to consider the importance of colour in cinema, the video studies the use of the colour red in the film.

It’s a real testament to the perfect match between Jonze and cinematographer Hoyte van Hoytema, who shot the film on ARRI Alexa. “Tons of credit goes to Hoyte and (1st AD) K.K. for creating this warm, colourful, easy world that still conveys disconnection and loneliness,” said Jonze, in this great interview.
