An emotional story, told in a compelling way.

Australian charity the Heart Foundation approached Genero to produce an emotive campaign to encourage donations for their Christmas appeal. They were looking for an Australian filmmaker to capture the story of Vanessa, who sadly lost her husband Luke to a heart attack whilst she was 28 weeks pregnant with their second child.

The objective of the video was to create a moving piece of content that highlights the difference a donation can make to the life-changing work of the Heart Foundation.

Genero creators Cheer Squad, with a proven track record of telling emotive stories featuring people of all walks of life, were commissioned for this brief.

Through the use of interview style footage in combination with contributed footage of Vanessa’s late husband and family, the creative team told Vanessa and Luke’s story in a compelling and moving way. 

The hero film was beautifully put together and delivered with social and still assets, to help promote the message: ‘Donate today to help save lives’.
