Bringing existing wine label illustrations to life through animation.
The brief
Global wine brand Jacob’s Creek came to Genero to create an animated video bringing their limited-edition Le Petit Rosé bottle to life digitally.
The animation needed to use the existing illustrations from the label, originally created by watercolour artist Heidi Willis, to incorporate the same style and aesthetic.
The approach
Through Genero, the creative team at Wondermerk Studios submitted a treatment with stunning motion tests and simulations of floral growth which saw them commissioned for this brief.
They beautifully animated the original floral and butterfly assets, enhancing the delicacy and freshness of the label illustrations and highlighting the premium quality of the product. The video was delivered in three ratios for different platforms, 16:9, 1:1 and 9:16.
